Termites commonly known as white ants destroy valuable property, documents, furniture and furnishings…anything that contains cellulose, silently and swiftly, before you even become aware of the damage done. Termites cause homeowners billions in property damage annually. Termites infest and breed underground, in the soil. They crawl up through the minute cracks and crevices in the foundation and the walls of your building. Pests are the last thing you want crawling around your home.

AVITUS is using a new generation Insecticide for Termite Control that contains IMIDACLOPRID as active ingredient. It is a systematic Insecticide for the control of Termites in homes / buildings and premises, which can be used both for PRE & POST construction treatments.

We create a non – detectable treated zone that function not as a repellent barrier, but as a “killing field” whose effects may be transmissible to other Termites and leads to contamination of the colony. It acts by interfering with the transmission of imposes in the nervous system and result in their death.

We are injecting concentrated chemical emulsion for Anti – Termite treatment for creating chemical barrier under & around column pits, wall trenches, basement, excavation, top surface of plinth filling junction of wall and floor along external perimeter of the building, expansion joints, surrounding of pipes conduits etc.

PRECONSTRUCTION TREATMENT

With pre-treatment, the goal is to create a chemical barrier in the soil that will stop termites from surfacing and attacking the wood in your home. Pre-construction termite treatment is less expensive than treating an already existing home. Because the area is open, the treatment area is easier to access; and therefore, requires less labor and less termiticide (pesticide for termites) than what’s required for an existing structure treatment.

With new construction, you should cover every inch of ground, creating a barrier that keeps termites from surfacing from the soil to your structure.

STAGE 1

Treat the side and bottom surface of the foundation trenches and pits with ready emulsion to a height of 30 cm at the rate of 05 Ltr per square meter of surface area.

STAGE 2

Back fill earth on each side of all built up walls, which will be in immediate contact with the foundation, should be treated with ready emulsion at the rate of 7.5 Ltr per linear meter of vertical surface of the substructure, to a depth of 45 cm and width of 15 cm emulsion shall be directed towards the masonry surfaces so that earth in contract with these surfaces is well treated with the chemical.

STAGE 3

Before laying the floor, treat the top surface of the consolidated earth within the plinth wall with ready emulsion at the rate of 05 Ltr per square meter before the sand bed or sub – grade is laid.

STAGE 4

After the building is completed, the earth / soil along the external perimeters of building treat at the rate 07.5 Ltr per square meter of vertical surface with ready emulsion.

Treatment of RCC foundations:

Treatment should be start at depth of 50 cm below ground level @ 7.5 Ltr. per Sq. Mtr..

Treatment of top surface of plinth filling:

The top surface of the earth consolidated earth within plinths wall shall be treated with chemical emulsion @ 05 Ltr. per Sq. Mtr. of the surface before the sand bed or sub grade is laid.

Soil treatment along external perimeter of building :

Earth along the external walls of the building should be treated at an interval of 15 cm and to a depth of 30 cm exposing the wall surface. Chemical emulsion should be poured along the wall @ 7.5 Ltr. per Sq. Mtr of vertical surface.

Time Required to Carry Out the Treatment:

On an average it takes two of our operators about 03 - 04 hours to treat an area of 500 to 1000 sq. ft. and about 06 - 08 hours (1 day) for an area of about 2000 sq. ft.

POST CONSTRUCTION TREATMENT

The treatment comprise of drilling holes at the wall and floor junction level and filling it after pumping in sufficient quantity of chemical.

This ensures a continuous chemical barrier for termites to make an entry and protect the treated structure.

The Method of Treatment:

The stages of the treatment are mentioned below.

Treatment To Wall And Floor Junction :

Holes of diameter 12 mm (1/2" approx.) are drilled at approximately 30 cm (12 inches) intervals along the inner junction of wall and floor in the entire premise. Water based chemical will be injected under pressure into these holes, to create a barrier against termite.

Treatment To Soil Under Floor :

If the subject premises on the ground floor and if cracks are noticed on the floor because of construction joints, expansion joints or shrinkage, the soil below floor needs to treated. Holes of 12 mm (1/2" approx.) dia 30 cm apart will be drilled along the cracks and water based chemical will be injected under pressure into these holes

Treatment To Wooden Fixtures :

Holes of diameter 12 mm (1/2" approx.) will be drilled at the base of wooden works such as window frames; door frames etc. inset in the flooring and chemical will be injected. A oil based chemical will be sprayed on all the wooden work infested by termites within the premise.

Treatment To Termite Tubes:

Visible shelter mud tubes will be removed and the infested area treated with Water base chemical.

All the drilled holes will be sealed and made good using cement.

In The Case Soil Treatment Along External Perimeter Of A Building Is Done As:

A chemical toxic barrier is created between the termites in the soil and the building that has to be protected.

This is achieved in the following manner:In case of a concrete cover or masonry apron around the walls of your building, holes are drilled as close as possible to the plinth wall about 300mm (1ft) apart from each other. Insecticide is then poured, so that it reaches the soil to eliminate the termites present there and to stop them from re-infesting.

If the building is on pillars, the holes are drilled around the pillars and insecticide poured into the soil.If there is loose earth around the walls of your building, trenches of a 'shovel width' are dug, exposing the external surfaces of the foundation wall up to a depth of 500 mm from the ground level. While re-filling the trenches, the dug up earth is returned in layers & insecticide is sprayed over the back fill earth.
